This is because students who participate in extra-curricular activities learn time management, build social skills, develop better physical and mental health, enjoy personal development through interests and passions, and improve confidence and leadership skills.
From Term 1 of Year 7, our Beyond program will take students to university campuses, visit entrepreneurial start-ups, compete in competitions, explore the world around us, and volunteer in school and the community. Our creative and performing arts programs will create opportunities across music, dance, and drama from Day 1 of Year 7.
Our Club Hub ensures that every student can find their niche and have fun with like-minded peers—whether in chess, robotics, debating, badminton, drawing, dance, or anything in between. Busy young people are healthy young people, and our dynamic school creates opportunities to help every student thrive.

At Tallawong High School, we give back. Research evidence clearly shows significant positive mental health benefits from volunteering and service.
